UNPACK REPACK BOOT.IMG
How to Unpack Repack Boot.img ALL Android versions
If you want to port a ROM or TWRP, the first step is to extract (unpack) boot.img (make ROM) or recovery.img (for TWRP) whether it's the stock ROM or ROM that you want to port. To do that you need a special tool and here I share the tool to unpack and repack it.
This is a tool for unpacking and repacking boot.img specifically for PCs with Windows OS and for how to use it just drag boot.img to the file unpackimg.bat , then the results will appear 2 folders named ramdisk and split_img..
And to repack it, just double click the repacking.bat file, the result will be image-new.img . Next, just rename it to boot.img....
This tool can also be used to unpack and repack recovery.img for porting CWM or TWRP. The process is the same as the method above...
As information, this tool has been on my laptop for a long time, and I have used it to support boot.img from various OSes, both Kitkat, Lollipop, Marshmallow and Nougat. For Oroe, you haven't had the chance to try it, please try it for yourself if it still works well on Oreo boot.
